A coach and teacher of the sport for 45 years and author of three books, James Rozanas contributed to competitive gymnastics since becoming a Turner at 16. He found success covering a broad spectrum as an instructor of gymnastics, tumbling and acrobatics. A Helms Hall of Fame inductee, Rozanas taught Olympians, international, national and local champions. An estimated 25,000 gymnasts received his instruction during his career, ranging from time as a coach of the Eiche Turners to hosting various clinics and camps. Rozanas became internationally known when he wrote his books Theory and Practice of Acrobatics, Advanced Acrobatics and Tumbling, and Acrobatics Made Easy.
