Roxanne Pierce excelled on national and international levels alike as an exceptional competitor on the floor exercise, uneven bars and vault. A fan favorite, Pierce collected medals throughout the early to mid-1970s and made her only Olympic appearance in 1972 at the Munich Games. After finishing a decorated athletic career, Pierce went on to become a firefighter in Albuquerque, NM for 22 years before retiring in 2003.
