An NCAA and AAU Champion, national and international judge and the only head coach Western Michigan University has ever had, Fred Orlofsky’s career has reached almost every avenue in collegiate, national and international gymnastics. As a competitor, he made it to the Olympics (1960), World Championships (1962) and Pan American Games (1963), where he won a team gold medal. Orlofsky coached 11 conference championships and 67 individual conference champions. An experienced judge, Orlofsky’s resume includes nine NCAA Championships, the 1983 Pan American Games, the 1976 American Cup, as well as Olympic, World and Pan American Games tryouts.
