Perhaps the most indicative accomplishment that displayed Joan Moore-Gnat’s versatility and well-roundedness as a gymnast was her four-year all-around champion streak that ranged from 1972-1974 at the USGF National Championships. Her 10 national championships are the second most national titles of any female gymnast, an accomplishment that is added to two World Championships appearances and a trip to the 1972 Munich Games. Moore-Gnat went on to own and operate the Ace Gymnastics Club in Longwood, Fla. and worked as a Brevet judge.
