Frank Kriz was an inaugural class inductee, member of the first U.S. Olympic team to travel overseas and a pioneer for the sport. Kriz’s Olympic experience totaled three trips and one gold medal on the vault. When he won the event in the 1924 Paris Games, the vault involved jumping a 5’7” high bar prior to hitting the long horse. Kriz also competed in Antwerp, Belgium and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
