An Olympic bronze medalist and four-time World Championships team member, Kathy Johnson-Clarke is best known as the first American woman to stand on the podium at both the Olympics and World Championships. A competitor since her teenage years, Johnson-Clarke’s success was largely earned on the balance beam and in the all-around. To go along with her bronze medal on the balance beam, Johnson-Clarke also helped the 1984 Olympic Team to a silver medal as one of the veterans. Today her knowledge and experience in the sport serves her as a television color commentator.
